Sachin's Indian Restaurant in Newcastle
Almost 30 years ago, my parents opened Sachin's Indian Restaurant in Newcastle, England. They named it after me.
The restaurant is still thriving today. Apparently it's one of the best and most famous indian restaurants in all of England.
I have no personal memory of the restaurant. I was 3 years old when we moved to the US. But I always heard stories about it, like how I would take naps on the third floor.
Thanks to the power of Google search and Google street view, I am able to see my restaurant sort of for the first time.
One day I would love to go back and introduce myself to the current owner. I once had an old menu from the restaurant. I'll have to search through some boxes and see if I can dig it up.
They have a nice website. Unfortunately they decided to leave me out of the "About" page. :)
